Hartner Multi-Step Drills
Precision reimagined.
Efficiency made tangible. Made in Germany.
The multi-step drills
are the intelligent further development of classic HSS and HSS-E twist
drills. Thanks to their innovative step-drill geometry, the drills
deliver significantly higher performance, greater precision, and
noticeably improved drilling comfort in daily use.
What makes the
multi-step drill so special? Unlike conventional HSS drills that
machine material in a single cutting action, the multi-step drill
works in several defined cutting stages. The result is smooth,
low-vibration operation with significantly lower force
requirements.
Additional advantages include optimal chip removal,
perfectly round and precise holes, and almost burr-free hole exits.
Even when used with hand drills and cordless drills, the special
geometry enables controlled drilling without jamming or slipping in
the drill chuck.
Advantages of Multi-Step Drills at a
Glance
Step-tip geometry for extremely smooth drilling
performance
Fastest drilling progress with minimal effort
required
Clean, dimensionally accurate holes ? almost
burr-free
Optimized split-point geometry for precise
centering
3-flat shank for secure grip in the drill
chuck
Ideal for steel, stainless steel, aluminum, non-ferrous
metals, plastics & wood
Perfect for use with hand drills, cordless
drills, pillar drills, bench drills and CNC machines
Technical
Design & Innovation Features
Multi-stage cutting structure (up to
6 steps)
Chip division into small individual chips
Excellent
chip evacuation
Narrow chip width at the outer
diameter
Low-burr drilling results
Optimized starting-drill
behavior
Small pilot-drilling diameter
Drilling and enlarging
in one working step
Especially for thin-walled sheet metal, the
required force is significantly reduced because the first drilling
stage exits the material early
118° Point Grind with Optimized
Cross-Point Geometry
Low feed forces required
Exclusive
step-drill point grinding
Even chip volume at every
step
Decreasing diameter increments from tip to
shank
Optimized flute profile for perfect chip
formation
Extremely stable tool design, suitable for demanding and
heavy-duty applications
3-flat shank ? maximum safety, prevents
slipping in the chuck
Protection against damage
